It depends on the day. You can come any time during the opening hours. If you want to submit visa application at visa center in Beijing and Guangzhou, please come according to your appointed time.

We don't know whether you have been granted a visa or not. Passports are returned to the Visa Centre in sealed envelopes and we are not allowed to open them.

You should apply for the category of visa that suits the purpose of your travel. There are no categories that are easier to obtain than others. Please note that your visa may be refused if you apply for the wrong kind of visa. Be honest. Willfully misstating the purpose of your trip and/or applying for a different kind of visa may lead to a rejection of your visa application and, in some cases, prevent you from obtaining visas to Brazil in the future.

It means "Your passport is at the Visa Centre and is ready for collection". The passport collection time is anytime between 0800 hours - 1500 hours, Monday to Friday except weekends and public holidays.

If applicants who do not reside in its jurisdiction and apply for Tourist Visa, the applicant should come in person to Visa Application Centre (VAC) for submission. In Beijing, the registered agent only can submit tourist visa on behalf of applicant and the applicant only can authorize his/her family member/traveling member/company colleagues for non-Tourist Group visa.
Collection could be on behalf of applicant: the original acknowledgement receipt issued by VAC, and the completed authorization letter signed by the applicant along with the representative's original ID card needs to be presented at the time of collection

We suggest you to submit your visa application at least one month before your intended date of departure. There's no urgent/expedited service at the Brazil embassy/consulates in China and during the process the passports can't be lent out. The average processing time for visit visa is around 10 working days (time for providing supplementary documents or interview is not included.)

No, there is no fast track nor emergency fee. Our policy is first-come-first-served. Usually applications shall be decided within 10 working days of the date of the lodging of an application which is admissible, provided you are not requested to submit additional documentation or come to an interview.

A parent or the legal guardian should sign the application form for his/her child. An applicant under the age of 18 years cannot sign the application form.

The Authorization for Brazilian Visa Issuance for Minors must be notarized.

For minors, the following supporting documents must be provided:

• Original birth certificate or a notarized copy. Copies presented without the original birth certificate must be legalized by MFA.
• Contact details of the travel agents in charge of the applications.
• Authorization for Brazilian Visa Issuance for Minors,signed by both parents or legal guardians (in which case legal proof of guardianship is required) at a public notary.
• If the applicant is a student/ a minor: the proof of means of support during the applicant's stay in Brazil must be presented by his/her parents.

Please note that if both parents or legal guardians (in which case legal proof of guardianship is required) are applying for a visa at the same time as the minor, an Authorization for Brazilian Visa Issuance for Minors is NOT necessary.

If you submit visa applications at Brazil visa application center in Guangzhou, the Authorization for Brazilian Visa Issuance for Minors is not necessary only under the following case: the purpose of the visit is only for tourism and the parents/legal guardians come to visa center to submit the applications for minors and parents/legal guardians at the same time in person.

No, Brazil Visa Application Centre staff can help you to complete your online application form with a service charge of RMB 2 per applicant, and they cannot provide any immigration advice to you.

Prior authorization from the Ministry of Work and Employment (MTE) is necessary for applying for this type of visa. While submitting application, the proof of obtaining the authorization or authorization under process should be provided. Please make sure the authorization is sent to the Brazil embassy or consulates in the same place of the visa application center where you want to submit your application.

It means that the restriction imposed by the RN 100/2013 concerns the period in which the visa can be issued, and it is not related to the period of stay of the foreigner in Brazil. The Brazilian consular authorities can only issue another VITEM V based on the RN 100/2013 after 180 days from the date of delivery of the first VITEM-V to the applicant.

The foreigner can only be granted a single VITEM V based on the RN 100/2013 every 180 days.

Yes. If the visa was not used and the deadline for first entry into Brazil has expired, it is possible to reapply for a new visa.

Usually business visa holders may stay in Brazil for up to 90 days. To be sure, please check the allowed duration of stay indicated on your visa.

If the professional internship is NOT arranged and supervised by the student's university, a WORK VISA (VITEM V) is mandatory and the company in Brazil must obtain the required work permit from the Ministry of Work and Employment. Otherwise, you may apply for a STUDENT VISA (VITEM IV) for supervised internship.

Generally speaking, foreign nationals coming to Brazil to do volunteer activities or community services in association with a non-profit NGO or a religious or social assistance institution for under 90 days should apply for visit visa and for more than 90 days must apply for a CULTURAL AND ACADEMIC VISA (VITEM I). Please note that foreign students taking part of volunteering programs promoted by organizations/foundations/institutions (e.g. AIESEC) must apply for this type of visa. Please contact visa centers before you apply for this type of visa.

No. Courtesy visas are issued in special cases at the discretion of the Brazilian Federal Government. Foreign nationals who have been authorized to receive a courtesy visa must apply directly at the Consular Section of the Embassy of Brazil in Beijing or at the Consulate-General of Brazil in Shanghai or the Consulate-General of Brazil in Guangzhou.

In most cases, foreign citizens travelling to Brazil may apply for a visa at any Visa Application Center.

However, foreign citizens travelling to Brazil for the reasons indicated below must apply for a visa at the Visa Application Center with jurisdiction over the applicant's place of residence.

* Applicants with Hongkong Document of Identity for Visa Purposes or Macao Travel Permit should bring to visa center the original Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents at the time of submission. The validity of the Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents should be more than 60 days from the date of submission.

* Taiwan passport holder should bring to visa center the original Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents at the time of submission. The validity of the Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents should be more than 60 days from the date of submission.

* Other Non-Chinese passport holders should make sure the legal stay in China should be more than 60 days from the date of submission.

* Retired applicants should submit the original retirement certificate while applying for tourist visa.

* Housewife / househusband should submit the original marriage certificate and the bank extract/statement of her/his spouse while applying for tourist visa.
